Vacation Rentals Frequently Asked Questions

Here are our most often - and quite interesting - questions:

  • Where do I pick up my key?

We have 24-hour check-in. Between 3:00 and 5:00 p.m. your keys will be at the Bass Lake Realty office. For after hours check-in, please call our office before 5 p.m. and ask for the lock box code so that you can retrieve your keys and map to the house.

  • Where can I play tennis?

Use of the  Pines Resort Tennis Club for Bass Lake Realty guests is available for $20 per hour. Ask at our office.

  • Where do I rent a boat?

Bass Lake Water Sports conveniently located in the Pines Village at the Pines Marina. Boar rentals available include Patio Boats, Ski Boats, Fishing Boats, Jet Skis, Paddle Boards, Wake Boards, Paddle Boats, Canoes, Kayaks, Tubes and more. You'll find a full service Marina with everything you need.

  • Where do I register my boat?

At the Sherrif's Tower, to the left of Duceys after you launch your boat. The fee is based upon horsepower and ranges from $10 to $50 per season.

  • How deep is Bass Lake?

140 feet is the deepest point, located near the Dam.

  • Do you ever get snow?

At 3,400 feet elevation, Bass Lake experiences snow a few times each winter, but it usually melts off by the next day. Badger Pass Ski Area is only about an hour drive and Sierra Summit is just a bit more. Come visit us year 'round!

  • What are the fishing hot spots in the area?

Bass Lake, being a warm water lake, is stocked with bass, trout, bluegill, crappie, catfish and kokanee salmon. Fishing for kokanee is good during the summer and fall. The lake is stocked with catchable trout during the winter months.

Back country lakes, include Iron, Grizzly and Chiquito Lakes are less than one hour's walk from nearby trailheads. These lakes are stocked annually by air, and fishing is very good during late September and early October.

Mammoth Pool is 40 miles east of North Fork and is the county's major trout lake. Steep topography, fish from boats. Closed May 1 - June 15 for deer migration.
