State of the Lake

March came in like a lamb, with 67 degree weather at the lake. The Wishon Boat Ramp was being utilized by people fishing, boating, and just generally enjoying the warm weather. Bass Lake Water Sports is now open year round, renting boats and toys.
March may have come in like a lamb but last week it became a lion again with another 9-10” of snow, very welcome! Prior to that storm, Bass Lake had about 13” of precipitation for the year which is low. Annual average is 40”.

THE PERFECT SELLER’S STORM
Don’t wait until it’s too late.
Active Residential Listings as of Feb 28, 2021

As the graph above illustrates, The Perfect Storm for a seller’s market is now.
- Low Inventory – There are very few single family homes for sale. Vacant land is also beginning to draw attention again and parcels are selling.
- High Demand – Multiple offers are frequent and homes that are priced correctly typically go into escrow within just a few days.
- Low Interest Rates – Still about 3.00 % for owner occupied and still at a very low historical level.
