From Visit Yosemite : We’ve created a page with some FAQ’s for visitors and locals to help navigate the National Forest Closure.

Please feel free to share with anyone and/or link on your website or social channels.  Also, please let us know if you have any suggestions and/or updates for the page. Yosemite National Park Is Open And Sierra National Forest Closure Information

A big heartfelt shout out to the Yosemite Mountain Sugar Pine Railroad, Yosemite Trails Horseback Adventures, The Forks Resort & Miller’s Landing Resort who have all had to close until September 18th.  We can’t wait until you all can reopen!

Please help us get the word out the Yosemite is OPEN!  There’s a lot of confusion, as you know.  Also, and very important, is that we are seeing reservations occasionally open up on the website.  We are on the site all day trying to get reservations for the visitors coming into the visitor center and several times a week we are able to do it.  So if you have guests that need reservations, please keep checking the site.

Also remember these passes are good for 3 days . . . so if you arrive on the 3rd day, you can still use it for that day.

Another reminder is that the reservations end after September 30th!

I’ve reattached the visitor guide insert with Yosemite reservation and tour option information.  We’ve added 2 new tour operators in the last month that are not on the list:

Incredible Adventure 415-642-7378

Three Brothers Adventure Tours 559-307-5146

The Oakhurst Trolly

The Oakhurst Trolley’s last full weekend of the season was Labor Day weekend.  We do have it scheduled for Fresno Flat’s Heritage Day on Saturday, September 18th, with a special stop at Fresno Flats.  Plus it will be running the weekend of October 1st for Sierra Art Trails (no special stops, but we will be pointing out Artist exhibits along the route) and then again the weekend of October 8th for the Oakhurst Fall Festival where it will add the Library as a stop for the Festival.
